Well, we're two weeks into married life and I have to say, things are going good. I got the job at the Man Shop, and I've finished my training out at the Spokane location(For the record, driving an hour and 20 min. both ways to train, really really blows).
However, after our first week of being in the apartment and being surrounded by just...us, I realized, we need to get some friends. So you can imagine how excited(and nervous) I was for us to go to our new ward together. Now Jershon has been to the ward a couple of times so he already knew what to expect. I on the other hand had no clue what was in store.
We arrived 5 min. late so the chapel was already filled, but as soon as you walk into the building, you instantly hear the hum of children, and as we entered the chapel, the mere hum of children becomes a moving freight train. Children are everywhere, and when I say children I mean, all under the age of 4. whining, laughing, crying, and playing, and the children aren't the only ones making noise, because the parents are either soothing, or scolding these children.
With all the commotion going on, I'm impressed that the speakers are able to get throught there talks...what ever the subject may be. But aside from the screaming babies up and down the aisle's, the ward is pretty great. Everyone is our age (or younger, I've learned that Jershon and I are sort of a minority...what's new), and they're all in our situation, either beginning their degrees, changing them, or just finishing. And they don't waste time getting you involved either, Jershon and I already have callings. I have been called as an enrichment advisor, and Jershon is a ward missionary.
And so as relief society comes to a close and Jershon and I say our goodbyes, I try to remember who we observed that day, who we liked and disliked, and who we saw ourselves hanging out with. And all I've learned is that, love them or hate them, we're stuck with them for the next 3 years...wish us luck.

We're Married!!!...Now what??
The dress is put away, the gift cards are all used up, and I have hung every picture, sconce, clock, and piece of art we own. Every thing has it's place now, and when I enter the apartment, I can finally look around and get the feeling of....Home.
So now what...well, now we work. Jershon has settled back into his scheduled that he established before the Wedding. School, equipment room, studying, eat, and sleep( of course there is also the tease Chantelle, kiss her in the middle of cooking, change the channel that she's watching to ESPN, offering to clean her dishes after she cooked, some more teasing Chantelle, while Chantelle tries to go to sleep, and then falling asleep himself ;) Awe, the life he leads.
Me? well, after preoccupying my time with the apartment all week, I decided to tackle the hill that we live on. We live at the bottom of a really steep hill, and as of yesterday, I decided to follow my little sister's footsteps and start running again. I'm up to day two, and so far I'm feeling pretty good. I stop to walk the last portion of the hill, and then after reaching the top, proceed to run all the way back down to our apartment. My goal is to be able to run the entire hill without stopping. I'll keep you posted on my progress.
I've also been looking into the local Salon's to see if anyone's hiring. I've found one so far that I might start working for. It's called the Man Shop, a Barber shop geared for guys. They have free pool, fus ball, and ESPN playing all day. The girls are sassy, no B.S. type of chicks and all around, it seems like a really cool place to work. They had me do a practice hair cut on Jershon yesterday, and it seemed to go pretty well. I'm supposed to here back from them today. Wish me luck!!
Well, that's about it. I'm sure to have more interesting things to share with you once Jersh and I get into the swing of things. But until then it's...tease Chantelle, forget to take your shoes off, what's that smell, more teasing Chantelle, while Chantelle tries to go to sleep, and then falling asleep himself. Who knows, maybe I'll pick a fight with him tonight ;)
